MSCI Pauses Plan to Remove Polycab India After NCLAT Directive, Easing Immediate Passive Outflows
MSCI said on October 28 it will defer removal of Polycab India from its global indexes after the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal directed the index provider to hold off until it pronounces a final order on the companys insolvency case. The decision reduces the risk of forced selling by passive funds but leaves uncertainty over future index inclusion and liquidity for the stock.
